We just returned from a wonderful wedding celebration that took place on a beautiful old plantation near Charleston, South Carolina.
It was a joyous occasion with a stunning backdrop, captured (I’m sure) by dozens of cameras held by numerous guests in attendance.
As we sat there fanning ourselves in the late afternoon sun, it occurred to me that most of those pictures will probably live only on the phones they were taken on – nestled somewhere between a few random shots of the insignificant things we all photograph now with our ever-present cell phones.
It seems like such a waste.
This brought to mind a project we did for a new Bride some time ago, where we incorporated a photo from her wedding day into a framing scheme that also included her Wedding Invitation. It was a perfect pairing that captured the big day in a novel way – one that would probably be displayed prominently at first, and then moved and re-discovered periodically in the years ahead – accompanied perhaps by a chuckle or two about hairstyles, etc.
We can only imagine the joy that future generations will get out of discovering their parents or grandparents original wedding invitation along with a photo of the happy couple in their younger years!
Photos not quite what you had hoped? No problem – the example on the right shows that you can still create a wonderful gift that will be cherished forever.
Wedding season is upon us now. Why not consider this creative idea as a one-of-a-kind gift for a Bride in your life. Stop in anytime, and we’ll help you design a truly unique gift that will bring joy for generations.
If you don’t trust your own photography skills, we can even construct it so the bride and groom can insert their own favorite photo!
