

Ever wonder why, every year there seems to be a “new” color showing up in everything from clothing to wall paint, and yes- even in Art?
It’s not something you notice right away. But every now and then, while you’re shopping or perusing a new magazine, you begin to notice a trend in the color that designers are using in their products and designs. It might be on an article of clothing, or perhaps a small kitchen appliance – but it’s definitely there.
As it turns out, this doesn’t happen totally by accident.
Every year, officials at the Pantone Institute meet to determine what will become the “Color of the Year” based upon trends that they have identified throughout society. It’s not the type of event that ends with fireworks or a parade – but chances are that it will wind up in your wardrobe or home at some point this year.
So, as you go through the coming months, keep your eyes peeled for a bit of this year’s Color of the Year:
