I am a lifelong resident of the Capital District. My family roots go back to the 1870s in the City of Albany. I recently learned from a cousin that my Great Grandfather worked on the construction of the NYS Capital, as a stone mason. I was pleased to hear that, being that it is one of my favorite buildings to photograph.
I love the rich history of this area! So much has taken place in this region which had a profound impact upon this nation's history. The architecture coupled with the natural beauty of the area is a paradise for a landscape/cityscape photographer.
My interest in photography began with a high school course. I knew back then that this was a craft that I was passionate about. I did some work for the State of New York's Division of Fish & Wildlife as a photographer; documenting legal cases and creating photo exhibits for the Wildlife Pathology Unit in Delmar. I resigned from the State to attend Hallmark Institute of Photography, in Turner's Falls Ma. I graduated in 1996 and have since worked in the photography field. I reside in the town of Rotterdam with my better half, Adrienne who I love and adore!
A special thanks to those I've met at shows for your genuine compliments! If I have nobody to share these with there isn't much point to it. It's what motivates me to pack up the truck and my dog Karcsi to head for the cities and hill-towns. I am always looking for new places to shoot, so if you have a suggestion... contact me and I'll consider adding it to the archives.
Thank you for visiting Northeast Landscape Photography!
